In a country where public conversations about security and violence too often seem to be dominated by drug-related crime, artists like Mar Maremoto are trying to break the silence that has for too long minimised the scale of this violence. By sharing her artwork on her Instagram account, she provides a safe space for her audience, and she goes even further.
